In the making- House Part 4

It was really surprising that the walls in the house is already completed. The first photo is the outside view of the master bedroom. You can also see the entrance to our en suite. Second photo shows the entrance from the main door, to the left is to the garage door and to the right, our bedroom.

The third photo shows the corridor that leads to the other 3 bedrooms, play area, laundry and bathroom. And, the last one is our garage.

Interview, food and food

Today, I went for an interview as a "community support work", suppose to help aged people. There is physical assessment, I think they wanted to test to see if we have certain strength to help the aged carry stuffs or even to carry the aged. The physiotherapist said that I have a very stiff body and needed a massage. Indeed, I think I need one, havent had a massage for a long time. Afterall, the test result was good, I m strong! ;)

The interview was interesting, first time in my life having interview in sport attire, not so formal. The interviewer asked a lot of questions, and I just replied whatever come to my mind. I confessed to her that I couldnt really good, and I think she wasnt impressed because we need to cook for the aged. This job basically is like a carer to the aged, we have to clean, bathe and feed them, we have to clean their apartment too. Anyway, she asked me to wait for phone call. Waiting...

Catch up with Michie at Dome for tea today as well.

Shortly, I had to meet Mina and Eva for dinner. We decided to go to scarborough beach rd, Jimmy Dean for dinner. As we are early, we took a stroll along the beach. A drunkard man walked towards us, we are kind of afraid and he stopped us.

He said he had photos to show us. There are a lot of occasions people might show you xrated photos. So in my mind, i was thinking of ways to react if it is something unpleasant. Heart pounding.

"See this" he said. I peeked and it was photo of a very adorable jack russell. He told us that his dog was run over by a car this morning, so he was very down. Poor chap. But because he is bit drunk, we decided to walk away, he followed. I told him i shared his grief, and he replied, "i dont need that." and walked away. Phew... But the dog was really adorable.

We had our dinner and also watched sunset togther, the food is only so so, but the scenary is good. We had a great time talking and complaining about my previous workplace. I feel relieved that I left that lousy place.

On Job training- cooking

Cooking is fun and challenging. I somehow like to cook but only for Mr Oink. I got no confident cooking for others. How can I increase that confident?

The mee rebus was pretty easy because I didnt cook it from scratch, I actually bought the premix. So I only need to prepare the noodles and ingredients. As easy as ABC. :)

Do the photos look tempting? Haha. I tried making dumpling and "mee bok ta", I think can consider it quite successful. Does the char siew look good? I was so proud of myself... To find a shop that sells good roasted products. Haha. For one moment, did you think I cook it?

Each day, I am quite excited about the things to cook. There was once we just went to the supermarket, bought some chicken and spinach, and ideas just come to my mind on how to cook it. So we have Chinese wine chicken with ginger(like confinement food) and spinach with ikan bilis. It was good. ;p I forgot to take photo on it because I was really hungry.

A blessed Monday

Today, I went to the city with Pastor and wife. We went to the shop of one of our friend. They have 3 adorable and gorgeous children. Only Renee is with them, the rest went to school.
Usually , Renee is very shy when in church, but I guess today there are only 3 of us, that's why she is so friendly. We had so much fun playing together.

Just before we left the shop, they gave, Mr Oink and I, three pairs of shoes each. *smile* They are quite good in designing their shoes and they have a lot of relatives in Singapore doing shoes business.

In the making- House Part 2

Today, We went to take a look at our house. Some parts of the wall, windows and door frames are up. So exciting. Standing inside the incomplete house, dreaming how it will look like.

This is going to be our cosy little house. Hope the weather will continue to be fine, so that the builders will be able to complete the house in time.

Workout Day... Finally.

Finally, I put a stop to the mentality of "I will do it tomorrow". I woke up at 8am this morning to go to the gym. Action time! I went for the combo class. Combo class means: A class involving cardio, step. light weights and ball. Simple and easy to follow caters for all fitness levels.

I think I was the youngest in place and also the weakest. It is super tiring, or is because I have not been doing strenuous exercise for a while. It was really embarrassing when most of the more mature ladies do so much better than me. So i just keep smiling at them, hoping t
here is a hole for me to hide. I also think I got combination problem, I just could not get my hands and legs to synchronies.

After the session, one of them came up to me and said that I need to get used to it. *blush* There is a pregnant woman doing better than me too.

I went to the top level of the gym to chill out, great outdoor pool and nice scenery.
Look at the photo. I was doing my quiet time and it was pretty cold, so I kind of cut short my quiet time.

Took a photo when I was driving. Beautiful blue sky with cottony clouds. I love the sky in Perth, but of course the UV is super high too.

Monday blues

Monday blues... This morning I woke up at 7:30am to go for blood test again. As usual, after the test, I went to the cafe to treat myself something sweet, so i had carrot cake today.
I have decided to take a stroll along the beach, so i went to Cottesloe beach. It was quite windy but the view of the ocean makes me feel so peaceful. There are people jogging, having lunch, children playing and some brave ones swimming. As for me, I went along the beach, took some photographs and also spend some time with God. Definitely feel better after my quiet time.

I tell myself that i should take more effort to spend time outdoor, so that i wont feel so moody.
When everything seems to go on well, guess what?
I scratched Jason's car. I feel bad. Initially his car is in really good condition, but once i started driving, I put on heaps of make up for the car.

National Day Celebration

Today is Singapore's birthday! She is 43 this year. We went to friend's place for dinner, so everyone suppose to bring a singapore dish. So i decided to make singapore curry. How do you tell the different between singapore and curry from other countries? I dont know. haha.

Look at the photo, we basically have a lot of food. Let me list them; Singapore curry, Kueh Chap (square noodle with braised pork, tau foo, eggs and lots more), prata, fried carrot cake(black), chicken rice with bak choy, yong tau foo, rojak, red bean soup with glutinous rice ball, agar agar and red bean and durian potong! Yummy, isnt it?

We sing national day song, anthem and say the pledge! Patriotic aint we?

Our Dinner

I have been cooking recently, for a healthier and cheaper option, as well as that I m actually quite free.

Chicken rice in Perth is about $10 per plate. Therefore is so much cheaper when I cook. One fresh free range chicken is about $12, premix is about $5, total to $17. We had it for dinner and lunch, phew, really saves.

Tuna steak with mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables and homemade pumpkin soup. I was quite happy with the end product. Come on Miss Oink! Keep it up!

I learnt the korean beef bulgogi and spicy seafood soup. The cost is about $20. Imagine going to a korean restaurant will cost us $40. It is actually
quite stress to think of what to cook everyday, must think of variety, must be healthy and etc. Throw in ideas for me if you have any, it will be good if you can share with me your recipes too.

Feeling blue... :(

I think everyday is a lesson for us. The lesson can be easy or tough, depending how you react to it and the choice that you make.

When everything seems to be going well, something no so good will just happen. What is this all about? Cant we just have a moment of peace?

Anyway, I m trying to stay happy and confident. It is because I am who I am.

This quote below is something I have been pondering on.

"I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something I can do."

Good Beginning.

Am I really bumming around? In some ways, yes, but I think this period of rest has been good to me. My AF is actually accurate! First time i can actually predict. Hope my health will eventually gets better.

Went for blood test in the morning. At the moment, is all good. :)
After the blood test, I went to the cafe to have my breakfast, skinny latte and freshly baked blueberry tart. It was good! Look at the photo.

I love the scenery at the cafe is really fantastic, the river, hills, yachts, seagulls and sometimes pelicans. Once in a while, we need a treat.

Kind of regretted watching the drama all at one go. Now, my network is extremely s...l...o...w...
I think is call, You reap what you sow. ;p
