Back to work, Australia Day and long weekend!

Hello!

Been backed to Perth for 1 week. Time flies... Last monday when i went back to work, i was so stone. Maybe i took a long break from work. It was pretty busy and i got "rojak" staffs from everywhere.

Good thing was Australia on a saturday, that why we got today off. yeah!

On saturday, we attended JK's wedding, afternoon reception and dinner at burswood. They arranged us to sit with 6 ang mo from adelaide, WeC and EC. Intially we were thinking, ang mo sure eat alot, we probably have to go somewhere for supper. But to all our surprise, the ang mo dont know how to eat chinese dinner, WeC, EC and us really pig out.

Yesterday evening, we went to WeC place for BBQ, as usual, lots of food and drink. WL suggested that we go crabbing today, and to meet at his place at 5.30am. We looked at our watch, is already 11pm, so we hurried home to rest and hoping we will wake up at 5am.

So today we woke up slightly later than 5am, picked ST up and drove all the way to WL's place. We travelled all the way south to Mandurah. We caught a total of 8 crabs, went to have fish n chips, and then head back to WL's place to cook singapore style chilli crabs, yummy is the word to describe. Although i dont eat crabs, but i love the gravy with mantou.

For the past 2 weeks

Hello...
Been a long time since I last blogged. This two weeks have been very hectic for me, but glad that Ah ma is recovering well, I m so proud of her.

9th Jan
Ah ma had finally removed the tumor in her head. Everyone was so worried for her, so they spend whole day to accompany ah ma the day before her operation. I can see from ah ma's face that she is really worried, most of us are worried too, but we had to put on a brave front. Ah gong usually dont show his concern to ah ma, but before ah ma went into the operating theatre at about 12pm, ah gong actually ran to ah ma and said, "See you later.". Tears just began to flow, it was really touching. I believe ah gong does cares for ah ma.

The doctors advised us to go home instead of waiting outside the theatre because it will take more than 8 hours. Oh well, I thought it will be like those drama, people waiting outside the theatre through out. We took the doctor's advice to go home and rest. So i took the opportunity to spend time with mummy and David. We went to Novena Square Time Zone and ended up spending $6 for an interesting music video with our face. Cool. Then I took mummy to a little beauty treatment, she went for a haircut, a bob cut, it really looks good on her, and then we went for facial to do spring cleaning on our face.

We went back to the hospital to wait for ah ma. We receive no news about ah ma, no news mean good news? We are so worried, so we went in and out of ICU to check whether she's in there, about 11pm, Ah ma was out of the theatre, soon later we get to see her. She was shivering due to the cold temperature in the theatre to preserve her. But she was able to respond when we talk to her. Thank God!

10th Jan
Today ah ma was transfer to normal ward, she was really recovering well. Many people visited her, that includes my in-laws and SH. Thank you for visiting my ah ma. Mom actually prepared some tonic for ah ma, but because ah ma still on drips, so she cant drink, therefore Mom asked me to give it to my aunties. My aunties are so grateful.

11th Jan to 16th Jan
Spend most of my time in the hospital, good time to meet up relatives and take care of ah ma. Some irritating old aunties used all kind of words to describe me putting on weight. Ha ha. Ah ma developed fever because she was bedridden, so i ask mom and dad for solution to keep her cool while lying on bed. Dad suggested bamboo mat and mom got it for me the next day. Mom, I m really grateful, thank you so much.

17th Jan
Today, i received a phone call from some telemarketer, she said i will received one free back massage for myself as well as for my friend, so i went with SH. It was at Taka, nice place, good massage but bad service. After massage, the consultant try to push a package to SH and me, but we declined it. Guess what the consultant said? She said'"Waste my time talking to the two of you, this way out." Oh my goodness, isnt she rude? If she didnt made such comment, we probably consider going back but no more now. ;p

Then we meet CC for dinner, she is becoming more and more attractive. She almost faint when she saw me, i have put on too much weight. Later she suggests that we shall go Coca for buffet dinner. Haha.. Buffet for me... Yeah! We are enjoying our dinner until SH fished out a cockroach out from the soup. Oh my goodness, it really spoilt our appetite, so I asked the manager over and showed him the delicacy on the ladle. He wanted to give us free desserts but i think that is not really right, so in the end, he said he will write off our bill. That sound more like it, I will not pay for cockroach soup.

After dinner, we went to Chanel to take a look, CC bought 2 way cake and she bought me a present, Chance perfume by Chanel. Very nice fragrance, Thank you CC. We then head off to Clarke quay. At Clark Quay, SH has to rush home so she didnt join us. CC and I went to chill out at "Clinic". It is like a theme pub, the chairs are wheelchair and the setup is like a hosiptal. Nice place. Then my phone rings, it was a SMS from SH husband, he wrote. "the next time when u come back to singapore during school term, dont ask my wife out, she is not free!". I feel so sad, how can he said much a thing, sighs.

18th Jan
Today Mr Oink returns from mission, still oinky, haha... We visited ah ma, brought her the bamboo mat and i promise her to boil herbal soup for her tomorrow. Mom then help me buy the ingredient for the soup. Mom, thank you once again, I am very blessed to have you. Alright, time to go and rest. Good night!

Happy New Year!
I m back in Singapore, just returned from Taipei. It was really fun, and the highlight was i get to see my childhood friend, Sheree.
Went to alot of places, as well as watching fireworks at Taipei 101.

Today is a very emotional day for me, not knowing why too.

Like a normal Sunday, I went to church, very happy to see those familiar faces again. My Sunday teacher who used to be very very fat, actually lose 8kg over a period of half a year. I got her secret recipes, will try it out.

On my way home on the train, i decided to visit my hometown, blk 736. As I walked toward the block, my emotion piled up, i feel like crying, i remember Sheere and i used to walk that path so often, from north point to blk 736. I missed those days. I also walked to the shop houses around, saw some familiar faces, the medical hall, the grocery shop, the mee hoon kuay stall... Memories just keep flashing back.

Suppose to be in Sabah now, but decided not to go due to my granny, she is going for a brain operation on the 9th. Went to visit her just now, she look so frail, it really breaks my heart. I pray that Ah ma will get well soon.
